This tariff situation is really bringing the ugly out in a lot of Canadians. People don’t seem to comprehend that the choice of one man does not make the entire nation their enemy. I just don’t get how people think, honestly. I am all about supporting Canadian businesses, especially when it comes to groceries because it’s about survival, but if something is made from the US and is something I can afford that isn’t a necessity, I am not going to boycott just for the sake or boycotting for a political statement. It isn’t American citizen’s fault the president decided to start a tariff war. I don’t think we should be punishing American owned businesses for something they had absolutely no say in. I am all about supporting local, supporting national, but this chip Canadians are now carrying on their shoulder against an entire nation, these angry misdirected feelings, choosing to make their shopping purchases purely a political statement against people who don’t deserve it, is gross. I feel like it is the same mob mentality that people had against Russians. Punishing and directing hatred towards the citizens for the actions of their government. I truly just don’t understand it.
