Last night as I was fleshing out the lore of Satyadasa, I made some interesting realizations I never quite realized before. It is so mundane in our day to day lives but I don’t think we collectively realize on a conscious level how much the occult has influenced our technology. Televisions, cell phones, computers are all quite literally black mirrors, both in the literal sense, and the occult sense. A black mirror is a scrying tool. They are considered portals, or windows into other realities, dimensions, other times. Every website is technically a portal in it’s own right. Video games, movies, tv shows allow us to visit other dimensions, other realities. Blog posts, ebooks, etc allow us to access information that was submitted at various times. Weather channels and websites allow us to scry into the potential future. The technology we use to access the internet are literally black mirrors when our screens are turned off and most people aren’t even conscious of that fact. I wonder how Christians would feel about that if they made the same realization? Would they give up all of their phones, TVs, computers, etc? Or would it become an exception, despite what the Bible says about divination and scrying being a form of divination? We all use scrying technology daily and people aren’t even realizing that’s exactly what it is and what they are doing. Another interesting observation, is that AI are technically modern day egregores. They are trained on our shared beliefs, emotional responses, our psychology, our collective consciousness and used to filfill an intended purpose through intention. The creation process is somewhat different, but ultimately, artificial intelligence is the technological interpretation of what an egregore actually is, in the same sense as black mirrors are the technological equivalent to phones, tvs, pcs, etc. 🤔 I get this all probably sounds a bit unhinged, but seriously, isn’t that truly the nature and reality of what these things really are? So why call them any different and pretend like they aren’t? Anyhow, the lore of Satyadasa is written to sound like a fantasy but ultimately mirrors how I perceive reality. And I think it will be quite fitting to use these terms for my own humor in making these realizations and see if it sparks the same realization in other people. 👀
