Finally getting around to selling a bunch of my crafting supplies. Feels kind of bitter sweet. Part of me feels like I might regret it, but another part of me feels done with trying to sell them so I feel like I shouldn’t just sit on them either. I will probably keep a bit of it as an occasional hobby and gift-making but I think the majority of it I’ll sell.

In other news, tonight I’m not doing much site-wise. I think after the site overhaul I just need a break. xD I went hard rebuilding this space for about 4-5 days straight. Fair enough to say I’m feeling a little burnt out. But I am doing bits here and there. Primarily I’m focusing more on brainstorming the community side of things. Tonight I’m getting some NPC images ready with various expressions to try and create more interactive experiences in Town. I’ve also come up with a name for the town, which is Satyadasa (pronounced sah-tee-yah-das-ah). A bit of a mouthful, you guys probably think it’s just some weird fantasy name, so it might be a surprise when I tell you that it actually has real meaning and is my techy spiritual way of manifesting/bringing about a vision that goes far beyond this website. Satya means truth, and in Hinduism, the Satya Yuga is an age that is meant to come after the one we are currently in, which is the Kali Yuga (essentially, the Kali Yuga is the darkest of all Yugas, we are currently living through the Kali Yuga – a dark age). The Satya Yuga is essentially a golden age where wisdom, truth, and goodness manifests. Adasa means freedom, more specifically, freedom from slavery. So Satyadasa = Truth/Golden Age/Freedom from slavery. I chose to name the town this for several reasons, some reasons go much deeper than what I’ll mention here as they’re more political in nature, but on more of a basic level I think most of you guys will understand, the small web is a breakthrough of sorts and already a conscious mental shift in this direction toward both ‘satya’ and ‘adasa’, whether the people here realize it or not. Despite how different our ideologies are, at the very basic level, we are conscious that there is something very wrong with the way things are, both online and in our society (also acknowledging that online shapes a lot of our society these days), and the essence of the small web is us taking action to create a shift in the direction that reflects and nourishes the human spirit. That’s why so many of us create our own personal websites; it nurtures our creativity, self expression, our human spirit.

Anyways, that’s where the town name came to be, if anyone is ever curious about that. Like I said, it’s just more of a spiritual easter egg I tucked away into my site that’s more personal for me as my site is a means of visualization in a sense toward something deeper, something greater.

Hope everyone’s having a great Friday!
