A couple days ago my hubby and I were talking about impressions we had about adults when we were kids, and being an adult and seeing the reality for what it is. When we were kids we thought adults really had it all together, that they knew everything, and adults knew how to treat each other right and resolve their issues. As kids we’re taught to be nice to other kids, have manners, apologize when we’ve wronged people, etc. When you look at society today and how adults treat each other, it’s just interesting how so much of what we were taught as kids really didn’t seem to stick much in the long term, and how wrong our little minds were back than about adults and how put together and mature adults are when the reality couldn’t be further from the truth. But at least our parents tried to steer us in the right direction and teach us to be better for the next generation. It’s better to have tried than not try at all.
