No updates for this month other than adding new members to my webrings. I have been getting the itch to work on my site again. It isn’t that I don’t want to work on it, I just don’t really have time. I care a lot about getting my Etsy shop off the ground right now and am working really hard on it. It is my dream to be able to work from home full time doing something I enjoy. After I walked away from the first design job I had in about 11 years back in October, it relit a fire in me to pursue a career in graphic design, but on my own terms. I have failed a lot over the years, but with each failure I become more resilient, I learn things, and I think each failure only brings me closer to success. And I think as long as I can continue to believe in myself and find the drive to continue, I will eventually get to where I want to be. But right now I just really need to work hard, and that means putting a lot of my hobbies to the backburner for the time being.
My site is far from dead though. I’ll continue to update this section monthly as well as write frequent blog posts over in my Cottage section. This is still a great outlet for me to talk about more personal things, so my site is far from being dead. I’m still around, and still updating my webrings. Once things become more steady with my shop, I’ll try and dedicate a bit more time to my site’s development. I really do miss it.
