Got my new phone a few days ago and installed GrapheneOS on it. I am absolutely loving all the security and privacy features on it. ♥ I hate Google, but I wanted a solid photography phone that I could also get GrapheneOS on and it seems like the Google phones are the ones to get that have the best of both worlds. So long as I get take Google out of it, I’m happy. Hubby also took the leap and decided to go with GrapheneOS as well. We’re running into a few hiccups getting notifications set up on his smart watch. Hoping it is resolvable. I just need a day to sit down with it and figure it out.

In other news, I’m still working hard to get my Small Web promotion campaign up and going and it’s starting to gain a bit more momentum on both Tumblr and the Fediverse. Facebook has grown a bit but I’m seeing a bit of a decline in activity for that platform. Regardless, I have my wordpress blog set up so after my Meta scheduler runs out, posts will automatically distribute to my Facebook page without any additional effort on my part. Whether people are actively engaged or not, I’m just happy that there is a place on that platform where people can discover this movement because right now, Facebook really doesn’t have very much of any information on it.
I want to try and automate as much of the posting as possible, being as I’m a team of one, the more I can automate the distribution process, the better so I can focus more on the content creation and graphics side of things. There’s definitely a lot going into this campaign, but I think the effort will eventually pay off and we’ll start seeing more people coming into this movement and viewing it as a solid alternative. I’d love to eventually see it on par with the Fediverse in terms of it being an alternative to corporate social media. I’d really like to see the Fediverse grow more as well as a solid alternative. There are so many amazing projects centered around it.

In addition to managing the marketing campaign I think it is also equally important to expand my resources section of my small web subdomain, so that is something I want to focus more attention to as well. If I’m going to have that subdomain firmly established as a resource hub for this movement, then there needs to be a solid library of resources. Right now there’s a decent amount to get started I think, but it could be far better organized than it is now, and a lot more needs to be added. I’m currently seeing a large uptick in visits to that subdomain so the sooner I can get that done, the better. I have a bit of time so I will start working on that a bit this evening, and devote a bit more time to that next week. Maybe try to get my blog posts organized as well into a better category system.

Anyways, other than that there’s not too much else to share right now. This is pretty well what will occupy my time for the foreseeable future. I’m prioritizing it above other things on my site right now, because I think it is important and will have a really great impact over time. I always seem to get myself into these crazy projects. My hope is that maybe it’ll start some kind of momentum for more people to start sharing this movement around, maybe start their own campaigns to get it out there. Folks who come from backgrounds of marketing, graphic design, business, etc. could do a lot of good for this movement in terms of getting this movement seen in front of a lot of people. I think that’s really what this movement needs right now.
