One more day (hopefully) before we get our internet back! This has been such a long couple weeks, and it’s really sinking in just how much I miss working on this site as a creative outlet. I really love my site. So long as everything goes smooth tomorrow, we should hopefully have internet again by tomorrow evening.

I’ve been spending my free time moving boxes and reading a lot. My reading goal is 2 books per month. So far this month I have read 3 books and it isn’t even the middle of the month yet. 🤣 My reading goal for this year is to read 24 books, and so far it’s looking like I might surpass that goal. Once we get our internet back, I’ll write reviews for the books I’ve read and try to get caught up.

I also need to catch up on my full stack development course. With the lack of internet has also been a lack of learning. I wish I would have remembered to download my course so I could have worked on it while our internet’s been out, but it is what it is.

Internet stuff aside, hubby and I are going through a confusing life transition right now. Our living arrangements have changed and now I have no idea where we are going to live once my family moves. We will have a couple months hopefully to save up for a good house downpayment, but it’s going to be tight. We are still trying to pay off our vehicle in full and we just got hit with some vehicle repair bills so that’s going to slow us down a bit. We’ve had this vehicle for several years though so it was due for these repairs but it’s still an unpleasant setback. With the new living arrangements, I am not really sure if we will be able to have kids as I will probably need to work full time to help with house and bill payments. Our life plans are just really full of uncertainty right now and I don’t like not knowing if everything will be okay or not. I don’t like feeling unprepared. I wish I could be a stay-at-home house wife/mom. That’s what I really wish I could be but living in Canada is becoming so unaffordable that it feels like it’ll forever just be a dream. We can’t just pick up and leave the country either. All of my family is here. We could move to the USA. That’s where my husband is from, but it’d be a pain in the ass process in itself to get my permanent residence there, and to be honest, the USA kind of freaks me out with all the mass shootings, terrorism, and political tensions. Not that Canada doesn’t have it’s own issues in those areas, but I feel like it is a lot more calmer here in that regard. Especially where I’m from.

Anyways, that’s pretty well it as far as updates go. If we have internet tomorrow I will get all caught up on webring submissions and neighbor requests. Sorry it’s been so long! 😅 I did not anticipate my original hiatus to be prolonged by these circumstances. It’ll be good to be back!
