Anyways, for context, a 13 year old girl at an Edmonton, Alberta area hospital was offered MAID as an option for her cancer diagnosis treatment without her parent’s consent nor knowledge. The girl’s parents were unable to intervene due to her signing a witnessed affidavit by medical staff while her parent’s were out of the room for an hour. So shady. This is why I don’t support MAID, because I knew it would be abused. A lot of folks will justify it and say “well, she was terminal, she was going to die anyways”, but that’s not the point. The point is the way they are doing it. They’re intentionally going behind parent’s backs while she is a minor, and that’s so shady. She is a child and is probably not getting or understanding the full scope of the situation, there may be other treatment options available to help her get better but she’s being manipulated by medical staff to an early death. Same with what happened to my friend. I can only assume there’s some monetary incentive behind it, the same way doctors were paid tens of thousands of dollars for every covid patient during the plandemic. If the price is right, a lot of people will bend their morals. Even if it means murder.
