This is so incredibly heartbreaking 😔💔 and I believe it because I know someone personally who was killed in a hospital who also had cancer. He was in so much pain and the doctors recommended a drug to him that would ease the pain, did not inform him that it would leave him TOTALLY incoherent, unable to speak or do anything. His family members were devastated and there was nothing they could do because he already signed the form. He should have read the form absolutely but he was in so much pain, he trusted the doctors that these were just painkillers, but he was not truly given informed consent. His death was expedited, and he and his family were robbed of their last precious moments together and any last words he could have given to them. But unfortunately this is the dark reality of healthcare in Canada. Doctors and medical staff are not being totally honest with their patients and there's a lot of shady malpractice happening.
