I think I’m going to work on a Privacy page. There are a lot of programs and sites I’ve discovered over the years that have horrible privacy practices. User privacy is something I’ve been really interested in for quite awhile now, and I think people deserve to know just how bad the programs and sites they use on a regular basis are, and also learn of alternatives that aren’t so privacy invasive and abusive. Enough of the mentality that we shouldn’t care about our privacy being invaded because we have nothing to hide. It doesn’t matter if people have nothing to hide, it’s about the ethics behind it. You wouldn’t want some creepy stalker peeping through all the windows of your home at all hours of the day and night, tracking your habits, places you go, and things you do, would you? If the reality of that scenario would make you uncomfortable, so should the privacy abuses of big tech and all these other companies who have no business harvesting our personal data, business, and using it for profit or whatever else. Even though it’s online, it’s still the same thing, except somehow it’s all become normalized and strangely just accepted by a lot of people for the sake of convenience. People deserve to know the truth, and through becoming informed of it, be given the opportunity to leave abusive entities behind for privacy-respecting alternatives.
Anyways, this is a new section I’ll be implementing on my site soon for those who also care about their online privacy. 🙂 Coming soon!
